4th of July

We had a Great 4th of July weekend up in Wyoming. On the third we went crawdad hunting at the City pond in Evanston and caught tons (50 or more) of crawdads. That night we went to the Woodruff rodeo, where Caden chased bunnies and chicken with his cousins in the kids games. Ont he fourth we went to Woodruff parade and dinner then went up to Evanston and lit fireworks. Jackson, Caden and Mayson across the river from the moose.
On Sunday we went on a walk in the state park in Evanston and saw this moose across the river.

Caden lighting fire works. He couldn't get enough of this, he like lighting his own more than watching the city fireworks. Chase loved watching the fireworks but didn't like the loud sounds.

Summer Vacations

Wow, June has come and gone and we haven't been home for most of it. The first of June the boys and I went to Wyoming for ten days to visit my family, and I had a girls weekend with some friends from high school. Chad met us up there that weekend for my family reunion. We came home for two days and off to California with Chad's family( his three sisters and parents). We had such a fun time we went to Disneyland and California Adventure Park for two days, Six Flags one day and Sea World another day. We were running like crazy to fit it all in a week but we did it.

MICKEY!! This is what Disneyland is all about. Caden was was so excited to see all the characters and would give them BIG hugs before getting his picture taken with them.

C is for CADEN! Caden saw this C in front of California Adventure park and said mom look a C for Caden!! He thought that was their just for him.

The first weekend in June we had the Erickson family reunion. We went camping up Woodruff Creek. Everyone was able to make it and we had a ball. These are some of our pictures from Camping.

So all the kids gathered all the treats that everyone took camping and made the Candy store. They took turns selling and advertising for the store. How cute and there is nothing better than a candy store where everything is FREE!

Girls weekend!!

The last week in May three of my friends (Kristin, Bridget and Beezer) from high school met in Park City and had a girls weekend. We had so much fun!! We went shopping and got a hotel for the night. I took more pictures but when I got home this was the only one on my camera. I don't know what happened to the rest. My parents met me in Park City and took the kids to their house. This was the first time that I have left my kids overnight except Caden when I had Chase. They did great and loved being at Grandpa and Grandma Erickson's house. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking them!

UPDATE

It's been a while, so here is one big update. Chad went fishing at lake Powell with his Dad and some uncles, so the boys and I went up north to my parents. We had a great time and was able to see family and friends that we hadn't seen in a while. Caden got to play everyday with his cousins, he was in heaven.

I went out one night with a couple of my best friends from high school Bridget and Kristin. We went to dinner while grandpa and grandma Erickson watched the kids. How nice was that! I love these guys and miss them like crazy. I wish I lived closer so we could hang out more.

My brother Ryan, his wife Susie, and their two boys Mayson and Jackson came to visit over their spring break in April. We had so much fun spending time with them. The boys had a ball playing together. Thanks for coming!!

"Ice Cream Cone"

Well it has been a while since an update, we have been going like crazy and have had a lot of company, this week it caught up to us. I got the stomach flu on Monday and a cold on Tuesday. I started to feel better Wednesday and thought the boys had gotten lucky and not got it, but I was wrong Chase was throwing up all day yesterday and Chad is taking his turn today. Lets just hope Caden gets lucky and doesn't get it. On the positive side it seems to only be the 24 hour flu (if there is a positive side to the flu).
The other night I tucked Caden in for bed, gave him a kiss and said "good night sugar"! He said "mom don't call me sugar", he paused for a minute and said "call me Ice Cream Cone." It made me laugh and we went to bed the next morning I called him sugar again and he said "mom remember I am Ice Cream Cone". What a silly kid he says some of the funniest things!!

Easter

We had a great Easter!! The Easter Bunny found the kids. After church Chad's parents and two of his sisters came over for dinner and a Easter egg hunt. Some of Caden' s buddies (Brennon and Keaton Romrell ) were walking by during our egg hunt so they came and joined us. The kids all had a ball finding eggs, when they found all of them they would give the eggs to their dads to hide again.

Chase 5 months

Chase is 5 1/2 months and man has he grown, I bet he is almost 20 pounds. April 5 Chase officially slept through the night form 8pm to 6:30am, he has slept through most nights since. Waking up every couple of hours is a nice stage to be done with. Now he is going to be starting baby food I am not to excited about this, the smell just makes me gag. Our little guys is growing fast.

Campout in Zions

Last weekend we went camping up in Zion National Park. It is about 25 min from our house, and in the last 5 years that we have lived here we have probably been there 4 times. Sad I know we will be going more now that Caden is getting older and is getting into hiking and camping. We had a good time, we went with some friends Eric and Maranda Miller and their kids Maya and Gavin. Chad and Eric use to work together. They look like they could be brothers and have a lot of the same interest like hunting fishing and shed hunting(looking for deer horns). They have been spending a lot of time together lately and decided to get their families together and venture into the outdoors. We just bought and new tent this year(one big enough for our family of 4) and are hoping to start camping more. I have great memories of camping trips when I was young and hope my kids will have the same. We had a fun time, we thought the wind was going to blow our tent down in the night, but other than that it was great!
