Caden's Baptism
January 4th 2014 Caden was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. We had such a good day and weekend leading up to his baptism. Grandpa and Grandma Erickson, Sheila, Jessica, Megan, Machesney, Morgan, Alan, Kerri, Ellie, Maddie, Ethan, and Annie came down on Wednesday. Thursday we went to shopping, to the children's museum and swimming. Friday morning Grandpa and Grandma, Alan and Kerri and myself got up and went to the early session at the Temple and then came home got the rest of the family and headed to Zion's National Park for the rest of the day. Saturday we got ready for the baptism, watched Caden's basketball game (he scored 5 baskets), road bikes and then went to Caden's Baptism. We had so much fun with our family we were sad to see them leave on Sunday. Thanks to all of our family and friends who came and supported Caden, it really means a lot.

Christmas 2013
We had a great Christmas this year. We stayed home and celebrated with Chad's family. Christmas Eve we went to the Nelsons house for Prime Rib dinner. Christmas Morning we opened presents at our house then went to Jeff and Seanne's house for breakfast then to Grandpa and Grandma Nelson's for more presents. The boys got spoiled like always. Caden got a Razor scooter that goes up to 10 MPH, basketball hoop, Legend of Chima lego ship, movies, laser tag guns and a bop-it game. Chase got a Ninja Turtle sewer, van and action figures, batman cave, laser tag guns, mario cart video game, and movie. Kysen got a ball pit, horse, activity block, clothes and bath tub toys.
Caden's 8th B-day!!
Caden turned 8!!! I cant believe it, I know I say that every year, but I really cant believe I have a 8 year old. He is such a GREAT kid. He loves school, sports, friends, video games, Oreo cookies and milk. Caden had a fun birthday we went to the movie Walking with Dinosaurs in the day while we were waiting for Dad to come home from work. When Dad got home we went to Laser Mania with Kasey Carlos and Christen were we did laser tag, miniature golf and arcade games. We then met up with Grandpa and Grandma Nelson and Kori for dinner at Red Robin and back to our house for presents, cake and ice cream. Caden got an i-pod, video game, night stand that his dad built, scriptures (of course since he is 8), remote control car, and art stuff (Caden loves to draw).

Snow 2013
The first of December it snow a couple of days here in St. George harder than I have ever seen it. We got about 6inches one day and it lasted about 2 weeks. They said it hadn't snowed that much in 40 years. The boy's loved it of course, we built snowmen several times, had snowball fights and built forts. The Saturday that it snowed 6in Caden and I (Chad was sick throwing up all day) shoveled the drive way and sidewalks with gardening shovels (since we don't have real snow shovels) for 2 1/2 hours. The snow was so wet and heavy!! Church was canceled the next day due to ice and snowy roads. They have no snowplows or shovels here because it doesn't hardly snow so snow removal just doesn't happen and it turned to ice. Caden's school would not let them play outside for recess for 2 weeks because the temperature was below 32 degrees. It was pretty cold and icy for a couple of weeks but we enjoyed the change. I do have to say we were ready for the sun to come back and the snow to be gone after a week. The boys kept asking when it was going to warm up and said they liked the heat better!!
Christmas Programs
All of the 2nd grade classes at Riverside put on a Christmas Play. Caden was Charlie Checker in his play (He tried out for the part and got it, He was thrilled). He did a great job and remembered all of his lines.
