CADEN!!!

While I was out in the garage vacuuming out my car, Caden was in the house doing this.......

Yes this is permanent RED marker. I was so mad and sent him to the corner so I didn't beat him. While I was telling him he can Not play PlayStation, computer games or watch cartoons for 2 days, he said mom "did you see those squares I made." I tried not to smile because I was so mad but yes Caden I did see those squares you made. Great Job buddy, next time draw your squares on paper not doors.

Not only did he draw on the door he also got Chase as well. Chase was laughing until I tried to get this picture. He didn't seem to mind that his brother was coloring on his stomach. Kids! What would we do without them?

Caden and Chase cleaning the door. I have spent an hour scrubbing this door with a magic eraser and it looks pretty much the same. If anyone has any ideas on how to get permanent marker off doors I would love to know.

Adventures

Chad's parents have an exchange student Andrea staying with them this spring. It was there spring break last week so they spent the week down here. They also brought Claria who is another exchange student from Korea with them so Andrea would have a friend. They wanted to go to Zions National Park and since we live 30 minutes from it I decided to take them. We hiked up to the 3 pools and had a fun time. The girls seemed to really like little part of Zions that we saw. They were so helpful with the boys. Thanks guys!

The next day was a kids fishing day at a pond in St. George. We took the boys and Andrea and Claria hadn't ever been fishing before so they came along as well. Andrea caught a small fish but it fell off her line before we could grab it. I think they enjoyed it anyway.

EASTER 2010

We had a Great Easter this year. The Easter Bunny found the boys and of course I forgot to take a picture of the baskets before they got destroyed. Caden got Astro Boy the movie and sandals in his basket. Chase got Princess and the Frog movie and sandals in his basket. We had about 5 Easter Egg Hunts at our house that morning. Caden would find all the eggs and want us to hide them again. That afternoon we went to Chad's parents house here in Hurricane and had a BBQ and another Easter Egg Hunt. We had a fun time and enjoyed everyone company.

The boys coloring Easter Eggs!

Caden with all of his eggs he found during the Easter Egg hunt. Since Caden and Chase are the only grand kids on the Nelson side and Chase didn't want anything to do with finding eggs, Caden scored! He found more than could fit in his basket. Chase did enjoy eating the candy though.

Kellie Pickler

Chad and I went to a Kellie Pickler concert the other night at Tuacahn Theater. We loved it. She did such a good job and has quite a sense of humor. We both had a good time and was glad we gave her a try.

PARADE OF HOMES

This past week was the Parade of homes here in Southern Utah. Our Cabinet shop (Stonebrook Cabinets) did two of the homes. They looked so good and we had lots of compliments. It was fun to see the finished product. We did a smaller house #18 in Tuscany Hills and a bigger house #19 on Sunbrook Golf course. All the guys work long hours and do such a good job. We are so grateful for all they do, we couldn't do it without them. Thanks Guys! Here are some pictures of the of the woodwork from the two homes.

MY MAN IS 30!

Yesterday was Chad's 30th Birthday. It didn't seem to bother him to much that he was 30. I think I had a harder time with it. Not that I care that he is 30, it just hit me that we are getting older and we aren't going to stay in our 20's forever. It is just WEIRD! I remember being in high school looking at couples with young kids at the same stage of life we are at and thinking that is so far away for me. Here I am and I don't know where the time went. I cant believe how fast my life has gone and changed since high school. I love my little family to pieces and wouldn't change anything but I would like to know where time goes.
I wanted to make a big deal of this birthday but if you know Chad you know he is a quiet guy and doesn't like a scene. We went out to dinner with our boys and came home for cake and Ice cream. Caden helped make the a cake and card, he even signed his name on the bottom of the card all by himself. I was so proud and so was he (we have been working on writing his name for a couple of weeks). We had a quiet evening and enjoyed spending time with each other. It doesn't get any better than that! Happy Birthday Babe! I am so blessed to have you as my husband and appreciate all you do for me and our boys. I hope to share many more birthdays together, even if it means were getting older.

The three cutest boys around!

Look at all that smoke. It took both Caden and Chad several blows to blow out all those candles.

SLEDDING

Southern Utah got hit with winter storms last week. Saint George only got rain (lots of it), but Cedar City got snow. We decided to go slay ridding in Cedar on Saturday. We had a lot of fun. I forget that even though we don't get snow at our house we are not to far from it. We will have to go more often.

Chaser going for a ride in the sled. He had a hard time moving due to his marshmallow outfit.

Mom and Chase going down the hill. WATCH OUT BELOW!

Caden sledding down the hill. He couldn't get enough sledding. He would go down walk back up and want to go again but faster or down a jump. He was in heaven!

This was the first time Chase has ever played in snow. He tried walking and face planted, he didn't seem to mind he just licked his lips and started crawling.

Caden making a snow angle. We also tried to make a snow man but the snow wasn't wet enough it wouldn't stick together.
