Christmas 2011

We spent Christmas at our house this year. The boys were so excited and loved opening their presents. I think the highlight was the trampoline Santa brought them. After opening up presents Christmas morning at our house we went to Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's house here in hurricane and opened up more presents.

The boys christmas eve in there new PJ's!

Chase's pile from Santa!

Last but not least is Pokey the turtle. He was suppose to be a Christmas present from Chad and I to the boys but was discovered a couple of weeks early. I bought him the day after Thanksgiving because the pet store had all reptiles 50% off for black friday. Me being the sale shopper that I am had to buy it then and tried to hide it tell Christmas in our closet. The second week in December Chad forgot to shut the closet door when he left for work and Caden woke up before me and came in my room. The turtle has a heat lamp on at night so he doesn't get to cold and this make the closet glow red. I heard Caden go in there and I said "Caden What are you doing". He said "just looking at this turtle". I told him it was suppose to be a Christmas present and he said "well you should not have put it in your closet then." Ha Ha he is right but I didn't know where else I could put it and still take care of it for a month. All well they got a Christmas present early.

Caden 6th Birthday!!

On December 23rd Caden turned 6!! I can not believe he is 6, he has grown up so fast and is such a cute boy. This year he invited his friends Noah Hanks to go to the movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked" and then to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We had a lot of fun and the boys loved the movie!

Caden's cake! I forgot to take candles with us so we used tooth picks with foil on the ends. They burned fast but got the job done!

Opening presents!

Caden and Noah at dinner.

A couple of weeks before Caden's birthday I asked him where he wanted to eat on his birthday, thinking he was going to say Cafe Rio. He thought about it for a minute and said Texas Roadhouse because on your birthday you get ride the saddle. So here is Caden on the saddle at Texas Roadhouse. The waitress was supper nice and made a big deal of his birthday, Caden was thrilled!

Tippy and Caden. Tippy brought Caden a gift over for his birthday. Theses two have grown to be good friends the past few months. Caden is so sad that she is moving right after Christmas!!

Caden lost another tooth

On December 22nd Caden lost his 2nd tooth. His tooth has been loose for several weeks but Caden would not let anyone touch it. Finally, he was playing with his Grandma Nelson and hit his mouth on her knee and out it popped. Caden wanted to wait and put the tooth under his pillow on Christmas Eve so Santa and the Tooth fairy would come the same night and that they did.

Chase's Broken Arm

On December 19th Chase got his cast off. He didn't want to get it off to bad but once it was off he acted like nothing had ever happened. He was back to being his crazy self with no fear. He didn't baby his arm at all, I couldn't believe it.

O Christmas Tree!!

We had a late start getting our Christmas tree up. Finally Dec 12th we put up our tree. The boys were so excited and were big helpers decorating the tree.

NFR 2011

Two of my best friends, Kristin and Bridget, from High School came down South for our friend Beezer's wedding. They decided to come a couple days early so we headed down to Vegas and hit the opening night of the NFR. They are cowgirls and love horses me on the other hand not so much but I had a really fun time. We stayed the night on the strip and went to the Country dance club Stoney's to fulfill Kristin's dream of line dancing at a night club in Vegas. We had a great time and I was so glad we got to spend some much needed time together.
