Enid Smith

Chad's Grandma Smith past away last week. We will miss the wonderful lady!!

Our beloved mother, sister and friend, Enid Lucille Riley Smith, 90, passed away November 1, 2011. She was born May 15, 1921 in Goshen, Utah to Edward Albert and Mary Lucille Okelberry Riley. She married Lawrence O. Smith in Pratt, Kansas on March 24, 1945.
Enid was a registered nurse and worked for forty years at various hospitals in Murray and Salt Lake. She loved homemaking, interior design, leisure arts, shopping and traveling. She lived her life in a spirit of helpfulness and humility, blessing the lives of those around her with kindness, wisdom, humor encouragement and concern. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings. She served a temple mission with her husband.
Enid was survived by children, Barbara (Brent) Sagers, Helen (Wayne) Gardner, Neil (Chris) Smith, Royce (Patti) Smith, MarJean (Gary) Nelson, Annette (Neil) Banner, Kendall (Marci) Smith; brother, Keith Riley; and sister, Shirlene Daniels. She has 44 grandchildren, 96 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Enid was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Smith; brother, John (Ned) Riley; and two great grandchildren, Jake Davis and Ethan Sagers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Midvale 10th Ward Chapel, 8825 South 150 West (Monroe Street). Viewings will be held Friday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, and Saturday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
