Team Celtics

January and February Caden played little league basketball.  He really enjoyed playing and improved a lot.  His favorite part of playing was the trophy they got at the end of the season!  

Christmas 2012

 Christmas this year was so fun.  We were in our new house, (the boys were so excited for because it has a fire place that Santa can come down the chimney) my parents came down to St. George and spent Christmas with us, and we had a new sweet baby in our home.

Chad and the boys decorating our Christmas tree!  Our tree looked so small in our new house the living room is much bigger than our last house and the ceilings are so tall it dwarfed our little tree!

Our ward did a Polar Express Christmas party and this is Chase with a santa hat on, which he wore for 2 weeks straight, sitting on Santa's lap.

Kysen's 1st Christmas

I have always wanted to make a gingerbread house so this was the year.  One night when Chad was working late the boys and I decorated away.  We all had a fun time making our works of art and enjoyed eating them as well.

Santa found us! 

Caden got a Green Machine, battle blades, star wars guys, movies, headbands,and video games.

Chase got a Green Machine, play dough, supper hero action figures, movies, and legos.

Kysen got a jumper, stuffed giraffe, cloths, and baby toys.

This was my favorite present I got.  Caden made this in school and gave it to Chad and I for Christmas.  It is a 2013 calendar and he drew our family picture on the top.  It reminds me of a picture in a  Dr. Seuss book.  I love how the ornaments on the tree are on one side only, Caden is holding Kysen and Chase is a blue alien.  This is priceless!!

After doing Christmas morning at our house with Grandma and Grandpa Erickson we headed over the Jeff and Seanne's house for breakfast and then over to Grandpa and Grandma Nelson's in Hurricane.

Caden's 7th B-Day!

December 23rd 2012 Caden turned 7 years old.  I can not believe he is 7 nor can I believe that I am old enough to have a seven year old. What a GREAT kid he is.  He is so happy most of the time and is a great helper with Kysen.  Happy Birthday Buddy we love you!

Caden got a real bow from his Mom and Dad.  Chad had it custom painted RED because that is Caden's favorite color.  I dont know who was more excited about it Chad or Caden.  I think this has just become a Nelson tradition when the boys turn 7 they get a bow.  Caden and Chad have been our shoot several times and even joined an archery club where they get to go shoot a course and targets. Caden is really quite a good little shot and loves to practice with his Dad!

The day before Caden's birthday we went tubing up at Brain Head.  Grandpa and Grandpa Erickson were down for Christmas so they came with us.  Grandma stayed in the car with Kysen but Grandpa was a trooper and went tubbing.  We all had so much fun!!

October 2012

The frist of October Caden and his dad went spike elk hunting up in Heber City Utah.  They had a lot of fun and was able to kill a elk.  Caden loved it as he always does, he is such a boy!!

 We also went to Staheli Farm this year.  We went  in the pumpkin patch, rode the rides and went through the petting zoo.  Caden's principal, Mr. Staheli's, family owns this farm and he was their this year doing the tractor rides.  He let Caden help drive the tractor this year. This is one of our favorite activities to do in October.

Hook in the neck!!

In October my Sister Tracy and her kids Bailey, Tyus and Peyton came to visit.  Chad took all the boys out on the boat to Sand Hollow to go fishing.  They had a great time until right before they were ready to come back to shore Tyus cast his fishing pole and the hook caught Caden in the neck.  Caden screamed as you could imagine and thought he was going to die.  Chad called me and I met them up at Sand Hollow and took Caden to the ER.  He screamed and screamed and didn't want anyone to touch his neck.  It took 4 guys to hold him down while the Dr. removed hook.  When they gave Caden the shot of numbing medicine he stopped screaming and looked at me and said it tickling me Mom.  It took the Dr about 30 min to carefully cut and get hook out. The Dr said it was in there good.  Poor Caden, the nurses told Caden that he was the most polite kid they have had.  While he was kicking and screaming he kept saying please don't please don't.  Hopefully we don't have to experience this again.  Caden's neck was just fine and you cant even tell it ever happened.  Caden says he will never go fishing with Tyus again, we will see!!
